This collaboration series features Muneatsushi, a rising artist and illustrator who won the master-piece Designer’s Reviewer Award at UNKNOWN ASIA 2023, an internationally diverse, artist-driven fair that brings together creators from Japan and across Asia in Osaka.

While rooted in a manga-inspired illustration style, Muneatsushi’s work carries a distinctly Japanese sensibility, expressed through a unique and evocative worldview.

For this series, an original graphic has been specially illustrated, depicting the Thirteen Zodiac Signs—the traditional Japanese twelve zodiac animals plus an additional cat—each carrying a master-piece bag.

The base models are selected from master-piece’s core “Root” series, with materials and textures updated exclusively for this collaboration.

The main body fabric is made from durable polyester with a moderate firmness.

The oxford-woven fabric is inkjet-printed with the original graphic and finished with a water-repellent treatment, making it suitable for everyday use while also accommodating sudden changes in weather.

For the auxiliary fabric, recycled polyester yarn “RENU®” by ITOCHU Corporation is used.

By utilizing yarn regenerated from collected used clothing and factory waste, the series achieves sustainable manufacturing with reduced environmental impact.

Leather materials are selected according to color.

The black color features eco cow leather tanned with plant-derived tannins.

This material contains no substances considered harmful to the human body, offering both safety and peace of mind.

The beige color uses eco vegetable-tanned cow leather, tanned with 100% vegetable tannins.

It is characterized by its natural texture and the ability to develop a rich patina over time.

Inside the bag, a leather name tag embossed with Muneatsushi’s signature logo is placed as a mark of this special collaboration.

The original graphics are drawn with the 13 zodiacs, which are specially added to the Japanese zodiac signs, and the master-piece bags on the 13 zodiacs.
