The updated model of the Ark series, “Ark Solid.” While offering a substantial volume, its lightweight and soft 3-layer construction creates a relaxed, effortless silhouette. Suitable not only for daily use but also compact enough for outdoor activities and travel, this highly versatile series adapts to various lifestyles.

This model features a renewed main fabric. It uses high-performance nylon twill treated with master-piece’s original special water-repellent finish, m-coat™, delivering outstanding water repellency and durability.

The shoulder strap contains 5mm thick high-foamed polyethylene padding to reduce strain on the shoulder. The double-ring design allows comfortable use for both left- and right-handed users. The side pocket with cord stopper is ideal for storing bottles, and the carabiner attached to the cord end enables keys or IC cards to be secured.

Product Description

The main fabric is made of high-strength 66 nylon (70d warp / 210d weft) woven in a high-density twill structure and dyed using a high-pressure jigger process.

It is then treated with master-piece’s original special water-repellent finish, m-coat™. Compared to conventional water-repellent treatments, m-coat™ offers significantly superior water repellency and abrasion resistance.

Unlike traditional finishes, this advanced technology structurally bonds the water-repellent agent to the fiber surface, achieving exceptional water repellency and long-lasting durability.

While many water-repellent products lose performance after repeated use or washing, m-coat™ maintains Bundesmann water-repellency test grade 4 even after 100 washes.

For water-repellency testing, the more rigorous Bundesmann test (※) is conducted instead of the conventional spray test (JIS-L1092). Additionally, the back side of the fabric is treated with Breathatec® by Toray Coatex Co., Ltd., a polyurethane wet microporous coating material developed using proprietary polymer technology that provides excellent waterproof performance.

The polyurethane coating used is a highly durable polycarbonate type. The m-coat™ finish repels water on the surface, while Breathatec® prevents water penetration, making the material suitable for sudden downpours and heavy rain.

The attached leather is chrome-tanned leather from the long-established Italian tannery “MONFRINI PELLAMI S.R.L.” founded in 1898 in Milan, Italy.

After chrome tanning, pigments with vivid coloration and transparent dyes are blended and applied using a roller-coaster machine for a semi-aniline finish, resulting in vibrant yet refined tones.

Though plain smooth leather, it features a clean surface with a moderate sheen. This premium leather reflects the high-fashion European craftsmanship unique to MONFRINI PELLAMI.

5mm thick high-foamed polyethylene padding is built into one side of the shoulder strap to reduce strain. The double-ring fastener and symmetrical front/back body design allow comfortable use regardless of dominant hand.

The side pocket with adjustable cord stopper is suitable for storing bottles, and the carabiner attached to the cord end can also be used to secure keys or IC cards.

Attention

This product is not completely waterproof. Water may penetrate through stitched areas such as needle holes.
If nylon material is left wet for a long period, the backing film may peel or deteriorate. Always dry thoroughly before storage.
Water-repellent treatment is applied to the surface and may diminish over time due to friction and regular use.

Dust and dirt adhering to the fabric may also reduce water repellency.
Due to the nature of leather, slight color variations or fading may occur.
Exposure to rain or water may cause stains or discoloration. If wet, promptly wipe off moisture.

Avoid storing in hot and humid environments as this may cause discoloration or material deterioration.
