The main body material is made from carefully selected high-quality Japanese raw hides that undergo chrome tanning in a drum. After drying, dyes and waterproofing agents are added to the drum and rotated, allowing the chemicals to penetrate deep into the leather to create a waterproof base.
This base is then placed in an empty drum and rotated further. Through chrome tanning and various processing techniques, the originally soft raw hide becomes leather with a smooth, supple texture that seems to adhere to your hand. To preserve this character, the leather is finished using only dyes.
The accent leather has passed harmful substance testing (JES) based on the 13 criteria of the Japan Leather Technologists Association. It is tanned with vegetable tannins without using any substances harmful to the human body, including hexavalent chromium. Waterproofing agents are also added during the tanning stage to create waterproof leather.
The fabric used for the central pouch, which consists of three sections, is CORDURA Ballistic® fabric 1680d nylon, which is more durable than regular nylon and highly resistant to abrasion and tearing. By aligning two twisted threads each of 840d warp and 840d weft, the abrasion and tear resistance is further enhanced. The surface has a water-repellent treatment, and the reverse side has a PU coating.
The lining uses an original jacquard fabric with the master-piece logo.
The main zipper uses YKK EVERBRIGHT®, which maintains the natural luster of metal and has superior corrosion resistance compared to standard metal zippers.
